sister helps to open new mobile clinic in saint Louis as its medical director
Sister Gabrielle Mary Braccio is settling nicely into her new role as delegate for consecrated life, representing the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as she works with the various orders and congregations of women and men religious, as well as a small number of independent consecrated virgins and hermits…What she brings to her task, she said, is “the gift of loving consecrated life and wanting to do God’s will.”
Sister Marie Paul Lockerd, RSM is on a roll, literally! After years of serving as a physician in Jackson, Minnesota, she has offered her prayers and service to Saint Louis as the medical director for the Archdiocese’ new mobile clinic. The clinic will provide medical care to the most disenfranchised of the Archdiocese, to those who otherwise would not be able to receive any care.
residency program welcomes first nuns in its 40-year history
Sister Mary Lisa Renfer and Sister Maliya Suen count their time in Mason City a blessing. The nuns are among 18 residents enrolled in the family medicine residency program at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, and the first religious women in the program’s 40-year history, said Sharla Wellik, Mercy residency coordinator.
